Cookie policy

Zero cookies by default. Two localStorage values for your preferences. Everything else asks first.

Effective date: August 6, 2026. This page explains every piece of storage calceva.com uses in your browser, and how to control it.

By default: no cookies at all

Until you make a choice in the consent banner, Calceva sets zero cookies. The site works fully without them — calculations run in your browser and need no storage.

localStorage (always, not cookies)

  • calceva-consent-v2 — remembers your consent choices so we do not re-ask on every page. Expires after 13 months, then the banner returns.
  • calceva-theme — remembers whether you prefer the light or dark reading mode.

Both values stay on your device. They contain no identifiers and are never transmitted to us.

With your consent only

The consent banner offers two optional categories, both off by default (Google Consent Mode v2, default-deny):

  • Analytics — enables Google Analytics cookies (aggregate usage measurement, IP anonymized).
  • Advertising — enables Google AdSense advertising cookies, used to fund the site; with this consent ads may be personalized.

The specific cookies set by Google and their lifetimes are described in Google's cookie documentation.

Change your mind any time

Open Cookie preferences (also linked in the footer of every page), adjust the categories, and save. Rejecting everything keeps the whole site fully functional. You can also clear the site's storage in your browser settings; the banner will simply ask again.
