The rules

Terms of use

Estimates for planning, not tax advice - and the rest of the fine print, kept readable.

Effective date: August 6, 2026. By using calceva.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

Estimates, not advice

The results shown by Calceva are estimates for general informational purposes only. They are based on published federal and state tax data as of the dates shown on each page and do not account for every deduction, credit, or individual circumstance. Calceva is not a tax preparer and does not provide tax, legal, or financial advice. For decisions about withholding or filing, consult a qualified professional or the IRS and your state tax agency.

In particular: employer withholding methods differ from annual liability; local rules change mid-year; and your final bill is settled by your tax return, not by any calculator — including ours.

What you may do

Use the calculators freely, for personal or professional planning. Link to any page. Quote reasonable excerpts of our explanations with attribution and a link.

What you may not do

Scrape, republish, or resell the site's content or data wholesale; misrepresent Calceva results as an official government computation; use the site in any way that disrupts it for others; or frame the site to hide its origin.

No warranty, limited liability

The site is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. We verify our data against official sources and test every formula before release — the process is documented on the methodology page — but tax rules change and mistakes are possible. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Calceva is not liable for any loss or damage arising from reliance on the site's results. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction is to stop using the site — and ideally to tell us what went wrong so we can fix it.

Intellectual property

The Calceva name, design, texts, and calculation specifications are ours. Official tax figures themselves are public information; our compilation, presentation, and verification of them are not.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the current version always lives at this address with its effective date. Continued use after a change means acceptance.
