Effective date: August 6, 2026. This policy describes what Calceva ("we", "us") collects when you use calceva.com, and what we do with it. The short version: the calculators run entirely in your browser, we keep no accounts, and nothing about your salary ever reaches our servers.
Who is responsible
Calceva is an independently published website. Its individual publisher, established in France, acts as the data controller for the little personal data this site handles. The contact form is the official channel for privacy requests; messages go directly to the controller and are answered personally.
What we do not collect
- The numbers you type into any calculator (salary, hours, allowances) are processed in your browser only. They are never transmitted, logged, or stored by us.
- We have no user accounts, no logins, and no newsletter database.
- We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with anyone, beyond the advertising and analytics partners described below and only with your consent.
What we collect, and when
Contact form. If you write to us, we receive what you typed: your message, the topic, and the name or contact detail you chose to include (both optional). We use it to answer you and keep it only as long as the conversation needs. It is never added to any marketing list.
Server logs. Like any website, our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (IP address, requested page, browser signature) for security and troubleshooting, on the provider's standard retention schedule.
Preferences in your browser. Two values are stored in your browser's localStorage: your cookie-consent choices and your light/dark theme. They stay on your device; we cannot read them from our servers. Consent choices expire after 13 months and you will be asked again.
Advertising and analytics (consent first)
Calceva is funded by advertising. We use Google Consent Mode v2 in default-deny: no advertising or analytics storage is activated until you explicitly allow it in the consent banner. If you consent, the following Google services may set cookies and process data:
- Google AdSense — displays ads; with advertising consent, ads may be personalized using cookies. Without it, ads are non-personalized.
- Google Analytics — aggregate usage measurement (with IP anonymization), only with analytics consent.
Google acts as an independent controller for these services. How Google uses data from partner sites is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google's My Ad Center or industry-wide at aboutads.info.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via the Cookie preferences link in the footer of every page. Cookie mechanics are detailed in the cookie policy.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (GDPR in Europe, CCPA/CPRA in California, and similar laws elsewhere), you may have rights of access, correction, deletion, and objection over personal data. For anything we hold — in practice, only contact-form messages — use the contact page and we will act on it.
Children
Calceva is a general-audience site about payroll taxes and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published here with a new effective date, and material changes are noted in the changelog.
